Get the details on why Telenovela got axed on the flip…
CelebNLatin247.com has just learned that NBC announced the cancellation of Eva Longoria’s new show Telenovela, which critics initially warmed to.
Shortly after the news broke it reached sitcom creator, Eva Longoria, who had mixed emotions at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Friday (13May16) after learning her U.S. TV comedy had been cancelled. Looking happy and posing for pictures with fans, Longoria showed no sign that her new TV comedy, about life behind the scenes of a Spanish-language soap, was in danger.
Maybe it was because she had no clue her show was on the chopping block.
Telenovela was among a slate of series axed by bosses at NBC on Friday, while the lovely Latina was enjoying the sun at Cannes. Eva attended the Money Monster premiere on Thursday and she was also spotted at the glitzy Vanity Fair party.
Since the news of the show getting axed, Eva took to instagram writing:
“In our final dramatic twist, Telenovela has died! (Cue dramatic music) Thank you so much to our amazing fans. And to my lovely cast mates – the show may be over, but these people are stuck with me for life. Please think of us when ever you have a sordid affair, plot revenge or reunite with your evil twin!”
In the words of Ana Sofia Calderon:
“Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, what will I do without Ana Sofia Calderon?”
What do you think about Longoria’s series getting cancelled? Were you watching?
